Blue Rooster was engaged to produce a registration website for the MSDN Developer Conference, an eleven city road show that highlights the experience of Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference in a one-day event. In addition to creating the event logo, Blue Rooster designed and developed an online user-friendly experience which reflected the trendy and innovative flair of the MSDN Developer Conference. The site was constructed using 100% Microsoft tools (Visual Studio and .NET Framework) and technologies (ASP.NET, Silverlight) and hosted on Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008. Using SharePoint technology, the Blue Rooster team customized the registration site with Silverlight animation showcasing video highlights from PDC 2008.
Blue Rooster monitored bi-weekly registration via RSVP code tracking and sent reports to the core event team as a means of monitoring attendee status and demand generation efforts. In order to ensure a smooth registration experience, the Blue Rooster team also provided alias support to communicate with conference attendees and potential registrants regarding general inquiries and specific event details and information.
The Blue Rooster registration staff was also present onsite at several of the road show locations to check in attendees, track registration, and provide onsite technical support for the registration tool.
